Canter with wildebeest, follow an elephant, experience the inquisitive stare of a giraffe
Trained horses are available for experienced riders who may explore the conservancy together with our guides. The ground is good and there are few holes and stones. Come face to face with elephant and even lion. Right from the start of any ride, expect to encounter a wide range of animals as you ride across open plains or wind your way along the Makuyuni River.
Imagine galloping amongst a herd of hundreds of wildebeest and zebra; or try your skills at tracking wild animals from horseback. There is no doubt that one of the best ways to experience the African bush is from horseback.
Rides are booked on a half-day basis, starting from and returning to camp where the horses are stabled all year. Rides should be booked in advance. A mixture of Endurance and English Saddles are available and half-chaps and helmets are provided.
Wow! What an amazing place. So relaxed but also so informative of the natural history of this beautiful location. The horse riding has been a dream come true! Thank you, to all your team for making us so welcome. The sundowners in the bush will be remembered for its beauty. Thanks Frank for the river walk. With regards the Brits!
